University Dining Meal Plans
From early morning to late at night, University Dining offers places of retreat across campus to relax with friends, refuel with a satisfying meal or snack, and recharge so you can keep on top of your busy college schedule.
Three all-you-can-eat dining halls, plus an abundance of quick-service restaurants, coffee houses, ice cream shops, convenience stores and vending machines await you, with a variety of options, including vegan and vegetarian.
We offer name-brand options such as Chick-fil-A®, Taco Bell®, Freshens® and Port City Java®, along with an outstanding line up of self-branded Italian, Asian, wrap, salad, and sandwich options that will keep your energy levels running high.
University Dining has a variety of meal-plan options to suit your needs and budget. Your plan is built around a set number of meals per week or semester that you can use to access the dining halls or put toward meals at our campus quick-service restaurants or to use our dining hall Pack & Go take out program through our equivalency program.
Your Meals Component is augmented by Dining Dollars. Use them to make purchases in our C-Stores or vending machines, make up the difference if you go over the equivalency rate at a restaurant, buy snacks and drinks, treat a parent, sibling or friend to a meal when they come to visit, or buy meals if you’ve run out of meal-plan meals. Most meal plans come with your choice of 100, 200 or 300 Dining Dollars per semester, but you can always add more if you like. Dining Dollars are optional with the Commuter-5 and Athletic Plans. N.C State has a generous equivalency program that allows you to transfer the value of a dining hall meal to our campus restaurants. You can spend up to $5.00 for breakfast, and $6.25 for lunch/brunch, dinner and late-night meals. If you stay under the rate, you won’t owe anything more, but if you choose to spend more, you can make up the difference with Dining Dollars, AllCampus, credit card or cash. Only one equivalency can be used per meal period. You can also use the equivalency to take advantage of our Pack & Go dining hall take-out program.
