The NC State AllCampus office is in the process of upgrading the ID card to enable the University to take advantage of new technologies, such as advanced credentialing and door access.

During summer 2010, we re-carded a significant number of faculty and staff through stations set up across campus. Faculty and staff who have not received their new card can stop by the West Dunn Building Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. or look for opportunities during our Phase III recarding beginning in September. View our Frequently Asked Questions for additional details.

New students entering the university for the 2010-2011 academic year are currently receiving the new card. Since many of the advanced technologies will not go into effect in the near future, it is not necessary or prudent to re-card upperclassmen at this time. Upperclassmen who become affected (ie. need access to a building or lab that replaces key fobs with card readers), will receive a new card.

Please be prepared to show a valid government-issued ID in addition to turning in your old campus identification card. This is a requirement from Security & Compliance. Your government-issued ID Card must bear your picture and either an address of record or nationality (e.g. driver's license or passport). If you can't produce your old AllCampus card at the re-carding station, you will need to sign a proxy form for us.

AllCampus cards are used for granting physical access to certain buildings or rooms (gym access or highly sensitive labs), and electronic access (computer stations, vending machines) which are currently in use on campus. Our goal in increasing the requirements for issuing AllCampus cards is to further raise safety and security for you and the campus community.

AllCampus Re-Card: Phase III Schedule

The AllCampus Network is working to schedule another series of re-carding opportunities across campus. If you have at least 30 faculty and staff members who have not been re-carded, have your building liaison contact Kelley Brackett. Your building will need to have a non-occupied room with an Internet port available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the requested date.

Faculty and staff can always get a new card by visiting the West Dunn Building between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
